Section15 is back again with another release from label boss Graham Walsh this time with a six track banging Ionasi EP [SFT009]

The title track from the EP is Ionsaí which translates into Attack and that's exactly what the track entails on it's own and for the whole EP.
It ranges from hard and crunchy percussions topped off with a wonky rising synth and a heavy distorted kick and bass line, In the background there is an ever evolving vocal switching from delays and tones to a final stand out part at the end of an intense build up, It's hard and bouncy and has the right amount of percussions weaving in and out.
Eist Do Bheal takes us on a path of warming and dark synth pads with cascading effects to bring about some chills with a topside of melodic pads gently weaving over a heavy distorted kick and fast paced drums, Again all building up to an intense break which builds up and keeps the momentum with snappy drums and rising synth to unleash a screeching bass and rising pad backed by a pounding kick drum to melt the brain.
Stalla Se is a dark groovy track with wonky synth work filtered through the arrangement, Again there is a vocal chopped and sliced and stuttering in and out of the mix, It retains the heavy pounding pace with slick drums backing it overall.
Agus coinnigh dúnta é takes on the roll of an intense techno roller filled with spacey synths over progressing drums and a belting bassline with jumpy vocal work, This one keeps the pace with hardly any breaks its just pure relentless progression!
Uisce Beatha is a dark and pounding melodic track with a very hard hitting kick drum with snappy percussions and a rising bassline pad topped off with a rising high top pad all building up in tandem to break off and leave the kick with bassline changing from a standard riff into a wobbly tail and descend into a fall of pads to bring about a crash of the entire track barring it's guns, It's fast dark and hard!
An Rith is an intense acid techno banger filled with phasers and filtered arrangements, The acid line builds up from been a hard hitting stab to an intense rolling pattern with distorted chorus effects evolving in and out.

This EP is hard and banging each track has it's own flavour of intenseness but all are collectively joined to bring euphony to those who enjoy the tougher side of techno.
